We are a diverse group of physicians, residents and students working our best to lead change and be advocates for our patients. Here you will learn how to change health policy and make a difference. Here you will meet mentors from all across Georgia. Thank you for choosing to be leaders of our nation.
Which Society am I in?
Organized medicine is a collection of societies. From county to national, our societies are built upon one another.
First, there is the county medical societies. Then there is the state medical society (MAG). Various states create our regional section (region 4). The southeastern section consist of different regions that is then represented at the national AMA.

In addition to organized medicine, there are many different societies based on diversity, ethics, specialties, etc.
Each society has its impact in the world. AMA's impact is on health policy.
